Truck Dealer Management Software
FoxDMS works for wholesale dealers who buy and sell trucks. A truck is a vehicle with body style Truck. The same cost, floor plan, and deal tools apply. There is no separate heavy-duty module.
A credit card is required at signup. You will not be charged for 14 days. No contract.
FoxDMS can track trucks because Truck is a body style on the same inventory used for every other vehicle. You record the VIN, costs, floor plan interest, and a wholesale deal. It does not store GVWR, axle, or DOT fields, and it does not ship a commercial-truck module. Plans are $39, $79, and $199 per dealership per month.
What you can record for a truck
These are the same vehicle, expense, floor plan, and deal tools used for any unit. Nothing in this list is truck-only.
- Inventory fields. VIN, year, make, model, trim, body style, exterior color, interior color, mileage, stock number, purchase price, and purchase date. Body style options include Truck, Sedan, SUV, Coupe, Convertible, Wagon, Van, and Hatchback.
- VIN decode. A 17-character VIN is sent to NHTSA. The form fills year, make, model, and trim when the decode succeeds. Body style is selected only when the NHTSA body class matches or contains one of those listed styles. A class that contains "truck" can select Truck. A class labeled only Pickup does not, so you choose Truck yourself.
- Per-VIN expenses. Categories are Transport, Mechanic, Body Shop, Parts, Detailing, Floor Plan, Auction Fee, and Other. Those amounts, plus purchase price and floor plan cost, make up the unit's all-in cost.
- Floor plan. Attach the truck to a lender plan. FoxDMS calculates interest or a daily fee until you set a payoff date, including after the unit is sold. See floor plan finance software and the floor plan interest calculator.
- Wholesale deals. The deal type available today is Wholesale (dealer-to-dealer). You pick the vehicle, the buying dealer, the sale price, and a payment method (Cash, Check, Wire Transfer, or Finance). The form shows vehicle cost and estimated profit. On every wholesale deal, Documents prints the purchase agreement, which is the bill of sale, and that PDF includes body style. Texas VTR-41-A prints today as an overlay on the secure form. Form 130-U is coming soon.
Paperwork, and the truck fields you will not find
- Every wholesale deal prints the purchase agreement, which is the bill of sale, plus VTR-41-A today as an overlay on the secure form. Form 130-U is coming soon. Paperwork is the same set used for other units.
- A truck uses the same inventory fields as any other vehicle. There is no GVWR, axle, sleeper, commercial weight, or DOT field, and no separate truck inventory, parts catalog, or service-shop module.
- Retail customer sales are still marked coming soon on the deal screen.
- The app runs in a web browser, including a phone browser. There is no separate native app.
- QuickBooks sync is planned for early 2027.
- Support is email at support@foxdms.com. Growth and Command include Priority Email Support. There is no phone line and no dedicated account manager.
Price and who it fits
Starter is $39 per month for 1 user seat, 2 buyer seats, and 50 cars. Growth is $79 per month for 4 user seats, 5 buyer seats, and 200 cars. Command is $199 per month for 15 user seats, 15 buyer seats, and unlimited cars. Each price is per dealership and billed monthly. A truck uses one of those vehicle slots. The pricing page calls them cars. There is no separate truck cap and no truck surcharge in the product.
The 14-day trial requires a card. You are not charged for 14 days. There is no contract. FoxDMS is available across the US. Plan cards are on /pricing and the written FAQ is on /foxdms-pricing. Published prices for other DMS products are on cheapest DMS for wholesale dealers.
This fits a wholesaler who buys pickups and trucks at auction and sells them to other dealers, and who needs per-VIN cost and daily floor plan interest. It is not a franchise truck DMS for parts, service, and OEM accounting. Related reading: wholesale dealer software, are you making money on each car, and wholesale dealer accounting.
Truck dealer software questions
Does FoxDMS work for truck dealers?
Yes, for wholesale dealers who buy and sell trucks the same way they buy and sell other vehicles. You add the unit to inventory and set the body style to Truck. FoxDMS then tracks purchase price, per-VIN expenses, floor plan cost, and a wholesale deal on that unit. It does not add truck-only fields such as GVWR, axles, or a DOT workflow.
Can I choose Truck as the body style?
Yes. The add-vehicle and edit-vehicle forms include Truck in the body style list, along with Sedan, SUV, Coupe, Convertible, Wagon, Van, and Hatchback. The dealer-to-dealer purchase agreement prints that body style on the PDF.
Does VIN decode set the body style to Truck?
VIN decode asks NHTSA for year, make, model, trim, and body class. It selects a body style only when that body class matches or contains one of the listed styles. A class that contains the word truck can select Truck. A class labeled only Pickup does not match those words, so you choose Truck yourself.
Does FoxDMS have commercial-truck forms or a heavy-duty module?
Texas paperwork is the same as for any other unit. On every wholesale deal, Documents prints the purchase agreement, which is the bill of sale, and prints VTR-41-A today as an overlay on the secure form. Form 130-U is coming soon. The vehicle record uses the same fields as other units: there is no GVWR, axle, or sleeper field and no separate truck module. Retail customer sales are marked coming soon.
How much does FoxDMS cost for a truck wholesaler?
The same plans as any other dealership: Starter $39, Growth $79, and Command $199 per month, per dealership. A truck uses one of the vehicle slots the pricing page calls cars: 50 on Starter, 200 on Growth, unlimited on Command. The 14-day trial requires a card. It runs in a mobile browser. There is no separate native app.
